This course is for those who wish to obtain Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification through the Red Cross. This course will be blended learning – most of the training will be done online through simulation learning. The online course is not supported on smartphone devices. Simulation learning provides an engaging online experience where learners respond to real-world emergencies by going on virtual “missions.” Learners MUST complete the online course before participating in the skill session. The link for the online portion will be sent out two weeks prior to the in-person session and will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete.

The in-person skill session will take place on April 16th from approximately 6:00 pm-8:30 pm at the Harrisburg Service Center at 350 Hale Ave. We will most likely finish early. The length of the skill session is dependent on the number of questions asked, mannequin to student ratio, and the number of participants in the class. The skill session is designed to transition participants from the virtual setting of the blended learning online course to the hands-on skills required to demonstrate competency for certification.

Note: There is a maximum of 20 participates for this course and a minimum of 5. The cost of the course is $50/participant and participants must be at least 16 years of age. Certification is valid for 2 years.
